Working collectively with ACS Farm Image we offer a full, accurate and efficient liming service. We are able to advise you on where lime is needed and provide the necessary quantity in order to correct the pH.
Agricultural Benefits
Lime is a soil conditioner and controls the acidity in the soil by neutralising the effects of acids from nitrogen fertiliser, slurry and high rainfall. It is crucial to maintain the appropriate soil pH for the cropping system and soil type. If soil is not within the optimum range, it can cause nutrients to lock up and not release into the soil.
ACS spreading technology encompasses two variable rate lime spreaders with GPS guidance ensuring an accurate application of lime only where required, minimising costs and maximising yields by improving soil health and, therefore, crop performance.
Liming service
Our service starts with pH testing the area in question, enabling the Farm Image team to compile a comprehensive pH map and produce variable rate spreading files. The team can then calculate the precise quantity of lime required and provide this at a competitive price. Lastly ACS organises the timely delivery and spreading of the lime.
ACS have a FORS Bronze accredited transport department, including a fleet of rigid bulk tipper lorries with weigh cells for an accurate and controlled supply, delivery and spread of high-quality lime to your farm.
Our loading shovels are operated by skilled professionals and fitted with specialist buckets and weighing equipment.
